HBK Enhances Risk-Based Transparency in the Supply Chain with IntegrityNext

HBK transforms risk-based supplier oversight with data-driven insights across 3,200 suppliers – achieving 87% spend coverage and tier-N visibility.

Munich, December 19, 2025 - Hottinger Brüel & Kjær GmbH (HBK), a global leader in precision measurement technology, has digitalized its supplier due diligence processes to gain systematic visibility into sustainability risks across its global supply chain. With over 3,200 suppliers monitored through IntegrityNext, HBK has scaled its supplier risk oversight and made responsible sourcing a core element of procurement.

Operating across industries such as automotive, aerospace, and energy, HBK manages a complex and globally distributed supplier network. In response to increasing regulatory demands and customer expectations, the company has made risk transparency and responsible sourcing a strategic procurement priority – even though it is not directly subject to Germany’s Supply Chain Act (LkSG).

“With IntegrityNext, we’ve automated our due diligence processes and transformed ESG risk management across our supply chain into a strategic decision-making tool,” says Tobias Kirchner, Global Supply Chain Sustainability & Compliance Manager at HBK.

Beyond the Supply Chain Due Diligence solution, HBK also uses the IntegrityNext platform to enhance tier-n transparency through its Supply Chain Visibility module and to manage the distribution and confirmation of its supplier code of conduct – further embedding responsible sourcing practices across its global supplier network.

Kirchner added:
“With the IntegrityNext Supply Chain Visibility solution, we are gaining systematic insights into critical risks beyond our tier-1 suppliers for the first time. This new level of transparency strengthens our ability to manage risks proactively and build long-term supply chain resilience.”

Key Outcomes:

  • Over 3,200 suppliers screened and continuously monitored through digital workflows
  • 87% of procurement spend covered by risk-based supplier assessments
  • Visibility into upstream risks, materials, and product groups across lower tiers
  • Due diligence integrated into onboarding and compliance processes
  • Cross-functional collaboration between sustainability, procurement, IT, and compliance strengthened

As part of its long-term strategy, HBK plans to further scale its digital supplier oversight capabilities. Priorities for 2026 include full integration with SAP S/4HANA, implementing EUDR and CSRD requirements, and achieving full decarbonization by 2040. HBK also plans to increasingly collect product-level emissions data (Product Carbon Footprint, PCF). These efforts aim to strengthen regulatory alignment, improve data-driven decision-making, and ensure long-term resilience across HBK’s global supply chain.
