Wizz Air Streamlines ESG Risk Management Across 350+ Suppliers Using IntegrityNext

Munich, July 22, 2025 – Wizz Air, one of Europe’s fastest-growing ultra-low-cost carriers, has transformed its supply chain sustainability processes, achieving an estimated 70% time savings for supplier assessments and seamless integration with its SAP Ariba system. The initiative forms part of the airline’s broader efforts to comply with EU legislation such as the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and CSDDD.

Facing growing regulatory demands and a complex supplier network across more than 50 countries, Wizz Air implemented a digital ESG due diligence solution that allows for automated supplier onboarding, standardized assessments, and transparent risk evaluation across a wide range of environmental, social, and governance topics.

“For a fast-growing airline like Wizz Air, regulatory compliance and sustainability leadership aren’t optional – they’re strategic imperatives. By partnering with IntegrityNext and integrating with SAP Ariba, we’ve gained the transparency, automation, and efficiency we need to manage supply chain risks at scale.”
Máté Tóth, Corporate Affairs Innovation Manager, Wizz Air

Since rollout, more than 350 suppliers have been onboarded and assessed through an automated process aligned with CSRD requirements. Risk scores and self-assessment results are automatically synchronized into SAP Ariba, allowing procurement teams to incorporate ESG factors into tenders, supplier selection, and contract management.

Key outcomes:

  • ~70% reduction in time required for supplier assessments

  • 350+ suppliers screened across a wide range of ESG topics

  • Full two-way data integration with SAP Ariba

  • Enhanced ESG transparency to support compliance, risk mitigation, and stakeholder reporting

Wizz Air plans to expand its ESG assessment program in 2025 as part of its newly launched Net Zero 2050 roadmap, which includes decarbonization goals, sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) initiatives, and ESG rating improvements.
